Lithology and Thickness
Darnah Fm LITHOLOGY= Darnah (Derna) Fm - 100m of nummulitic and reefal limestones, which contain fossils of corals, algae, and nummulites. Also contains massive beds of chalky limestone in some regions, with occasional marl partings. The upper part of this unit is represented by several cycles of shoal and channel facies. CALIBRATION = 50% Up in Lutetian. REFERENCE = Chart derived from: USGS Correlation Chart and Columnar Section for Rocks in Libya, 1963.
